My friend Vikas wrote an interesting & informative article about milk in a blog. I am a fan of raw milk. I make cheese outta that and enjoy drinking creamy, flavorful, boiled fresh raw milk. I recommend reading his article.

The perfect picture
Picture Perfect
Frequently my friends ask me how to take a good picture. Is that the camera, or the lens, or what it is. In my opinion LIGHT is the first requirement. Even in low light photography, light is the king. How you control light is the science – the aperture, shutter speed and the ISO. And what you do with light is the art. Man & the machine is needed. The skill comes with practice and learning, but there is so much choice with the machine. So what will give the perfect picture?
In my opinion there is nothing called a perfect picture. Among your friends that are caught up with the 8 MP cell phone cameras, the picture from your DSLR camera even if scaled down to 5 MP will blow them away. Among your friends that have kit lenses, the pictures from you ultra expensive F2.8 lens will be superior. Among professional photographers, the pictures from someone who has this ‘magic touch’ will be more appealing. The perfect picture is not in the machine or in the technique, it is in the heart. Any picture that brings joy to your and your loved ones’ heart is the perfect picture.
So What Project!
So What Project
I enjoy the kind of music Rodrigo & Nicholas (So What Project!) make. Their Albums ‘Smile’ & ‘Blossom’ totally ROCK! They came up with this cool party concept called “Yoga Rave”. It is a substance free party with yoga, meditation and soul stirring music thrown in. They are huge in South America and they have started touring the world. I have been in a couple of their Yoga Rave parties in Germany & USA and they are a blast! So What Project & their Yoga Rave is involved in raising funds for programs of the Art of Living Foundation that helps create a stress-free and violence-free society.
Hats off guys! I love your music & you are doing a great job! And I cannot wait to see you guys again!
Life is a painting

Say a painter paints an ocean…that’s perfect! paints a boat on it…perfect! adds some birds in the sky…perfect! adds some clouds…perfect! maybe paints the sun hiding begin clouds…perfect! maybe re-paints and makes the sun another puffy cloud…perfect! maybe darkens the clouds and paints some rain…perfect still! may be draws a shoreline…perfect! maybe paints a few huts along the shoreline…still perfect! maybe paints another shoreline and changes the ocean into a river…perfect still! The painting is perfect and complete in every step!
Similarly our life too; It is perfect and complete in every step. Be it pleasant or unpleasant, gain or loss…it is complete and perfect in each step. When we move with this faith, peace dawns.

Peaceful Warrior
Peaceful Warrior is not one of the movies with a lot of entertainment value. Sometimes it made me feel the screen play is just a big bunch of inspirational quotes strung together. Nevertheless I enjoyed the movie. The story has a lot of value to it. A college gymnast who pretty much could get all he wants in life gets wrecked in an accident, and the world as he knew it, shattered. Then enters a gas station attendant, a wise man. He helps the kid see the world the way it truly is, and get his life back. He teaches him through direct experience and lives by example. This is one of the scenes I loved”

You can enjoy a lazy afternoon watching this movie with your friends.
Siddhartha – the book
Siddhartha
“SIDDHARTHA” by Hermann Hesse is one of my favorite books. It is a beautiful story of Siddhartha, who leaves home at a very young age in search of true knowledge and liberation. Siddhartha’s journey of self-discovery is very interesting and engaging. Set in Buddha’s time, he indeed meets the Buddha. While his friend Govinda decides to join the Buddha, Siddartha follows his heart and finds his own way. I will not give anything more away, I wish you do get a chance to read this book. Highly recommended!!
